Module 1, The Advanced Nail Technician discusses the crisis in the nail industry, introduces marketing safety as a method of setting a salon apart, trains the basics of Aseptic Techniques, demonstrates the use of sterilizers, and explains verifiable sterilization as a positive in the salon. The importance of protecting technicians and clients from emerging, opportunistic and other microorganisms is discussed, micro-trauma and iatrogenic injuries are brought into perspective for the nail industry as well as contagious viruses and how they can be avoided. This Module is the basis of the ANT course, and gets the attending technician off to a great start.
