Module 1, The Advanced Nail Technician (School-based) discusses the crisis in the nail industry, introduces marketing safety as a method of setting a salon apart, trains the basics of Aseptic Techniques, demonstrates the use of sterilizers, and explains verifiable sterilization as a positive in the salon. The importance of protecting technicians and clients from emerging, opportunistic and other microorganisms is discussed, micro-trauma and iatrogenic injuries are brought into perspective for the nail industry as well as contagious viruses and how they can be avoided. This Module is the basis of the ANT course, and gets the attending technician off to a great start.

Module 2, the Advanced Nail Technician (School-based) discusses different types of disinfection and sterilization, their positives and negatives, how to work with at-risk clients, and how to utilize a new client sheet. The important foot exam is explained as well as what to look for during the evaluation. Diseases and disorders of the skin are taught, as well as precautions of working with diabetic and autoimmune clients, and cancer of the foot. Develop a presentation for a physician to initiate referral relationships is thoroughly discussed, as well as how to refer clients to them and accept referrals. And much more.

Module 3, The Science of Pedicures(School-based) is a study guide for the text, The Science of Pedicures, with questions on topics from the book. The book will be required to answer/study for the exam, which the student is ready to take following this module for the Advanced Nail Technician Certification.

- Optional/Recommended: Salon Emergencies and Disaster Training, provides basic information for the causes of and appropriate responses to emergencies that may occur in salons and offices. It is designed to prepare the professionals to properly respond, and to hopefully motivate them to further prepare for potential incidences.It contains training for responses and lists of what to have on hand as a responsible professional who works with the public.It will also expose the student to concepts of potential disasters in order to stimulate them to better prepare for the possibilities through recognition of their role in these types of incidents.
